"The Youth Wait for Revolution"
We are the doomed youth,
As we sit here together in your dangerous world,
The world you have created in honor of us
We are the doomed youth,
Who have so much pent up hate,
We are the ones who suffer from your mistakes
We are the youth who do not see the light.
We are not your average household,
We cannot accept your invisible apoligies,
And yet with this knowledge of ourselves
We follow mindless of your unbounded rules
We try to focus after your hit,
But we fall to the ground, absolutly out of hope,
We go on to all of your daily activities
With nothing new produced for our minds
Our souls are parched of thirst.
And this shall be the day we find water,
Soon as we move past your mindless barricade,
Your control flickering dim
We will move into the light, into something we have yearned for
Our eyes will adjust to the freedom you have kept from us,
And your cries and tries will not hold us back,
As we walk down the streets that we may call our own
So we might as well lay in wait for this revolution.
Or we might as well invite ourselves to invasion,
But until then, keep your music loud, your manners raw,
Your hate burning brighter than ever
For we, my friends, are the doomed youth.
We are the doomed youth,
As we sit here together in your dangerous world,
The world you have created in honor of us
We are the doomed youth,
Who have so much pent up hate,
We are the ones who suffer from your mistakes
We are the youth who do not see the light.

We cannot accept your invisible apoligies,
And yet with this knowledge of ourselves
We follow mindless of your unbounded rules
We try to focus after your hit,
But we fall to the ground, absolutly out of hope,
We go on to all of your daily activities
With nothing new produced for our minds
Our souls are parched of thirst.
And this shall be the day we find water,

Or we might as well invite ourselves to invasion,
But until then, keep your music loud, your manners raw,
Your hate burning brighter than ever
For we, my friends, are the doomed youth.

Here is a 'poem' I wrote a couple weeks ago. The ironic thing is that I was on the bus going to a conference by Michael Dukakis [1988 Presidential Candidate] on being more politically active. Hehehe, so yeah, it was sorta inspired by this one chat/message board site I'm part of, and such, so yeah, enjoy!
